New Delhi, January 13 (Commodities Control): Mentha oil prices remained stable today in the spot market, with minimal price fluctuations observed due to subdued trading activity. The market saw consistent arrivals, but demand from both domestic and export sectors remained steady, contributing to price stability.
In the spot market, mentha oil was traded at Rs 1,470-1,480 per kg, maintaining a similar range to previous sessions. While export demand is expected to pick up slightly in the coming weeks, there is currently no significant pressure on prices.
Traders expect prices to remain stable in the short term, with any significant movements likely to depend on changes in demand or market dynamics over the next few weeks.
Mentha Oil contract for JAN delivery settled at Rs 938/quintal showing an fall of Rs -6.2 over previous close of Rs 944.2/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 935.3-940.5 for the day. Open interest decreased by -17 MT to 455 MT, while trading volume decreased by -29 to 48 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for FEB delivery settled at Rs 947/quintal showing an fall of Rs -8 over previous close of Rs 955/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 947-950 for the day. Open interest increased by 2 MT to 48 MT, while trading volume increased by 5 to 6 MT.
