New Delhi, January 18 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices in Lower Rajasthan remained stable on Saturday, with limited purchases from spinning mills, while the arrival of Kapas in the state’s mandis also showed no significant change.
Spinning mills in Lower Rajasthan are currently purchasing cotton only based on their immediate requirements, which has contributed to the stability in cotton prices in the spot market. Traders noted that although there was a slight decline in cotton prices on Friday, ginners are not inclined to sell cotton at lower prices. This suggests that price movements in the spot market may remain somewhat restrained, with fluctuations likely to be minimal.
Alongside the Kapas, the prices of cottonseed also remained stable in the state. The arrival of Kapas in the mandis of Lower Rajasthan today stood at 2,500 bales (one bale equals 170 kg), which was consistent with the previous trading day's arrivals.
