Mumbai, Jan 22 (Commodities Control) – The Indian soybean market has seen a significant increase in arrivals, attributed to higher planting rates across key growing regions.

A total of 320,000 bags of soybean have arrived in markets nationwide. Madhya Pradesh, the largest soybean-producing state, contributed 140,000 bags, while Maharashtra followed with 140,000 bags. Rajasthan recorded 20,000 bags in arrivals, and other states combined for an additional 20,000 bags.

Prices for soybeans have shown regional variation. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,375 per quintal, while Maharashtra saw fluctuations between Rs 4,000 and Rs 4,300 per quintal. Rajasthan’s prices fell within the range of Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,300 per quintal.
The prices for processed soybean plants also exhibited variation. In Madhya Pradesh, plant prices ranged between Rs 4,325 and Rs 4,375 per quintal, while Maharashtra's plant prices fluctuated between Rs 4,325 and Rs 4,400 per quintal. Rajasthan saw plant prices in the range of Rs 4,300 to Rs 4,350 per quintal.

This increase in arrivals and price variability is a direct result of enhanced planting rates across the country's major soybean-producing regions.
