On the international front, crude palm oil (CPO) prices in Gujarat’s Kandla port dropped $10 to $1,145 per metric ton, while RBD Olein fell $10 to $1,105 per metric ton for January shipments. Soy degum oil prices remained unchanged at $1,135 per metric ton for February, and sunflower expeller oil held steady at $1,165 per metric ton for January. Mustard meal FOB prices increased slightly by $2, reaching $270 per metric ton.

Domestically, crude palm oil and RBD palmolein saw minor increases of ₹5, settling at ₹1,257 and ₹1,310 per 10 kilograms, respectively. Soy refined oil fell ₹20 to ₹1,250 per 10 kilograms, while soy degum oil gained ₹10, trading at ₹1,217 per 10 kilograms. Sunflower refined oil eased ₹10 to ₹1,350 per 10 kilograms. At JNPT, RBD palmolein and super olein both rose ₹15, trading at ₹1,315 and ₹1,335 per 10 kilograms, respectively.

Mustard seed arrivals across major producing states totaled 1,75,000 quintals, with Rajasthan contributing 80,000 quintals, followed by Uttar Pradesh (25,000 quintals), Madhya Pradesh (20,000 quintals), Haryana and Punjab (5,000 quintals), Gujarat (10,000 quintals), and other states (35,000 quintals).

The above image of Jaipur mustard seed prices and all-India arrivals shows a steady price range of ₹6400-6450 per quintal between January 4 and 22. Notably, arrivals peaked at 2 lakh bags on January 6 and January 15, coinciding with price stabilization, reflecting ample supply balancing market sentiment. Prices gradually declined after hitting ₹6600 on January 15, as arrivals increased, suggesting softening demand amid sufficient stock levels.

The overall market reflects a mix of supply pressures and demand fluctuations, with local mustard prices showing slight weakness amidst steady arrivals, while global edible oil trends continue to influence domestic pricing.
