New Delhi, January 23 (CommoditiesControl): Mentha oil prices saw a modest increase in the spot markets today compared to the previous day. In Barabanki, the price of mentha oil was quoted at Rs 980 per kg, up from Rs 975 the previous day. Meanwhile, in Chandausi, the price of mentha oil ranged between Rs 1,016 and Rs 1,018 per kg, showing a slight rise from the previous day.
Traders observed steady demand in the market, leading to small price adjustments. The market remains relatively stable, with both domestic and industrial sectors continuing to source mentha oil as per their needs.
Mentha Oil contract for JAN delivery settled at Rs 918.1/quintal showing an rise of Rs 1.4 over previous close of Rs 916.7/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 916-925 for the day. Open interest decreased by -30 MT to 207 MT, while trading volume decreased by -26 to 69 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for FEB delivery settled at Rs 934/quintal showing an rise of Rs 4.2 over previous close of Rs 929.8/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 927.5-934 for the day. Open interest increased by 14 MT to 254 MT, while trading volume decreased by -26 to 43 MT
Mentha Oil contract for MAR delivery settled at Rs 940/quintal showing an fall of Rs -10 over previous close of Rs 950/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 940-940 for the day. Open interest increased by 3 MT to 4 MT, while trading volume increased by 3 to 3 MT.
Currently The spread between JAN and FEB contract is -15.9 Rs/quintal.
Currently The spread between FEB and MAR contract is -6 Rs/quintal.
Currently The spread between JAN and MAR contract is -21.9 Rs/quintal.
