MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Since beginning January 2019, Vietnam exported around 9969 MT of pepper to India in which April 2019 accounted for about 2461 MT.
As per the official sources, Vietnam’s pepper exports to Sri Lanka remained nil during April 2019 from where India received pepper illegally.
In India, after a drastic decline in prices a couple of months back, the price of pepper recovered to INR 372 per kg levels at present. June 2019 rainfall is crucial for upcoming price movements.
In short-run, on the lower side, the price of may go up to INR 367 per kg levels and on the higher side, it may touch INR 378 per kg levels. Prices ar the Kochi markets traded higher at INR 372-373/ Kg as compared to INR 367-371/ Kg last week.
