Vegetable oil imports drop 13% in April-y/y

Mumbai, 13 May (Commoditiescontrol) Import of vegetable oils during April 2022 is reported at 911,846 tons compared to 1,053,347 tons in April 2021, consisting 900,085 tons of edible oils and 11,761 tons of non-edible oils i.e. down by 13%, showed the data compiled by the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India.


As per the data, the overall import of vegetable oils during first six months of oil year 2021-22, Nov’21.- Apr.’22 reported at 6,707,574 tons compared to 6,428,350 tons during the same period of last year i.e. Up by 4%.
