MUMBAI, 21 May (Commoditiescontrol) White Pea prices traded weak at Kanpur market last week ended on 21st May 2022 on thin buying from local and outside traders and following weak trend in other pulses despite decreasing arrivals.
White Pea prices at Kanpur market declined by Rs 50 at Rs 4,500-4,700/100Kg.
Vatana besan and dal also slipped by Rs 50 each at Rs 3,850/50Kg and Rs 5,950, respectively.
Canada's 2022-23 dry peas exports are estimated to rise by 28.57 percent from 2.1 million tonnes (Mt) in 2021-22 to 2.7 million tonnes.
Trend: Range bound trade of Rs 100-200/100Kg is likely to be witnessed in White pea as buying expected at lower rates and also decreasing arrivals of new domestic crop and no supply from overseas due to import restrictions but weak trend in Chana price will keep prices under check. In near term White Pea prices are likely to trade rangebound with limited activity.
