NEW DELHI, July 05: US soybean net sales were at 228,400 MT for the week ended June 27 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, down 19 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average.
US soybean net sales were at 282,900 MT for the week ended June 20.
Increases were primarily for China (66,500 MT), the Netherlands (58,500 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,500 MT), Costa Rica (28,800 MT), Mexico (16,200 MT, including decreases of 1,800 MT), and Indonesia (13,200 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (5,000 MT), Colombia (1,800 MT), and Nepal (500 MT).
Net sales of 150,300 MT for 2024/2025 were primarily for unknown destinations (120,000 MT), Indonesia (11,200 MT), Thailand (8,000 MT), Malaysia (5,000 MT), and Japan (4,200 MT).
Exports of 304,100 MT were down 22 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Egypt (111,000 MT), the Netherlands (58,500 MT), Mexico (42,300 MT), Indonesia (32,600 MT), and Japan (18,100 MT).
Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 3,600 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT), Taiwan (1,200 MT), Bangladesh (500 MT), and Malaysia (500 MT).
Soybean Cake and Meal
Net sales of 212,900 MT for 2023/2024 were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for Guatemala (73,300 MT, including decreases of 18,400 MT), Colombia (53,800 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Venezuela (30,600 MT, including 6,000 MT switched from Colombia), Portugal (16,500 MT, including 15,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Costa Rica (9,600 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (18,000 MT), Nicaragua (1,000 MT), Japan (600 MT), the Netherlands (100 MT), and Cambodia (100 MT).
Net sales of 288,600 MT for 2024/2025 were primarily for the Philippines (231,000 MT), Canada (35,900 MT), Mexico (8,000 MT), El Salvador (5,800 MT), and Costa Rica (5,600 MT).
Exports of 200,300 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (49,500 MT), the Dominican Republic (27,500 MT), Morocco (22,600 MT), Canada (22,600 MT), and Mexico (17,200 MT).
Soybean Oil
Net sales of 16,500 MT for 2023/2024 were down noticeably from the previous week, but up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were primarily for Mexico (7,900 MT), Venezuela (6,000 MT), Colombia (1,000 MT), Canada (1,000 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), and Jamaica (500 MT).
Net sales reductions of 4,800 MT for 2024/2025 resulting in increases for Canada (2,700 MT), were more than offset by reductions for Venezuela (4,200 MT), Mexico (2,800 MT), and Jamaica (500 MT).
Exports of 29,200 MT--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were to South Korea (12,000 MT), Colombia (8,000 MT), Mexico (4,800 MT), Jamaica (4,000 MT), and Canada (400 MT).
