MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - US cotton production is likely to be at 21.69 million bales in 2019-20, said Bloomberg survey ahead of the USDA’s World Agricultural Supply and Demand report for the 2019-20 cotton crop, which is scheduled for release on October 10.

The USDA in its earlier September forecast had estimated US 2019-20 cotton production at 21.86 million bales.

US 2019-20 cotton ending stocks are estimated lower at 7.04 million bales compared to 7.20 million bales, projected by USDA in September.

World 2019-20 production is also pegged down at 124.79 million bales than 124.90 million bales estimated by USDA last month. World end stocks are however estimated slightly higher at 83.77 milion bales from 83.75 million bales.
