MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Burma Urad opened stronger by Rs 50-200/100Kg at Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata pulses market, on Friday.

Postponement of Jaipur High Court’s hearing to 6th March turned out to be a big reason for the pulse to extend upward strength. The hearing is regarding non-issuance of Customs clearance to containers of urad imported against the stay order.

Jaipur high court has also given option to importers/DGFT to take their case to the Supreme Court.

Even millers' purchase and shrinking domestic arrivals continue to help take prices higher.

Meanwhile, regular demand and sale counter witnessed some activity in Urad dal/gota at prevailing rates.

However, some cautious buying has been witnessed in ready trade at prevailing rates, tracking weak prices in forward deals in Chennai, new domestic arrivals in Andhra Pradesh and upcoming fresh supply from overseas at Chennai.
