Mumbai, May 25 (CommoditiesControl) – The groundnut market in Gujarat witnessed the arrival of new crops in several regions, including Gondal and Deesa. Despite the influx, prices remained stable due to strong demand for groundnut oil, which bolstered market sentiment.

Summer groundnut arrivals have commenced across multiple centers, with traders anticipating a surge in arrivals in the coming week, particularly in the Banaskantha region, which is expected to peak around June 1st.

Gondal Mandi reported 22,575 bags (1 bag = 35kg) of groundnut arrivals, with an additional 30,000 bags pending. Prices for average quality ranged from Rs 1,191 to Rs 1,371 per 20 kg, while the best quality fetched Rs 1,201 to Rs 1,351 per 20 kg. Notably, 360 bags of new peanuts were traded at Rs 1,301 to Rs 1,436.

Rajkot Mandi received 16,000 sacks, with average quality priced at Rs 1,140 to Rs 1,320 and best quality at Rs 1,130 to Rs 1,290 per 20 kg. Saurashtra as a whole reported approximately 60,000 bags of groundnut arrivals.
