Jaipur, June 14 (Commoditiescontrol) : Mustard seed, oil, and cake prices experienced a decline on Friday due to subdued demand despite the typical seasonal uptick from the pickle industry. Market analysts anticipate that demand for mustard oil will eventually rise.
In the benchmark market of Jaipur, prices for mustard seed with 42% conditioning fell by Rs 25 to Rs 6100-6125 per quintal (excluding GST). Mustard oil expeller prices dropped by Rs 2 to Rs 1167-1168 per 10 kg, while Kachchi Ghani prices also decreased by Rs 2 to Rs 1177-1178 per 10 kg. Mustard cake prices experienced a decline of Rs 20, reaching Rs 2765-2770 per quintal.

Similar trends were observed in Delhi and Charkhi Dadri, where mustard seed and oil prices experienced declines.
Total arrivals of mustard seed across the country amounted to approximately 5.5 lakh bags, with Rajasthan accounting for the majority of arrivals.
In the Kandla port, CPO prices remained stable at Rs 887 per 10kg, while RBD palmolein prices increased by Rs 5 to Rs 905 per 10kg. Soy oil refine prices held steady at Rs 960 per 10kg, and degum prices rose by Rs 5 to Rs 890 per 10kg. Sunflower refine oil also saw a Rs 5 increase, trading at Rs 980 per 10kg.
The mustard market is currently experiencing a period of weak demand, which has led to a decline in prices across the board. However, market analysts predict that demand will eventually pick up, potentially leading to a rebound in prices.
