MUMBAI, 29 May (Commoditiescontrol): Ukraine is projected to export approximately 55 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds in the 2024/25 marketing year, according to Taras Vysotskyi, interim Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. This includes 40-43 million tonnes of grain exports and 17 million tonnes of oilseeds and their processed products, such as oil and meal.
Vysotskyi highlighted the significant role of the European Union in Ukrainian agricultural exports, which has grown notably over the past two years. In 2023, around 60% of Ukraine's agricultural exports were to the EU, and this figure remains steady at 55-60% today. This underscores the strengthening trade and cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union amidst ongoing geopolitical challenges.
