Ahmedabad, June 15 (Commodities Control): Following an increase in the export price of cumin, spot market prices in Gujarat have improved by Rs 50 per 20 kg. Traders report that the price of export-quality cumin rose by Rs 150-200 per 20 kg today, leading to a corresponding improvement in the spot market. The market's future direction will depend on how cumin sales unfold in the coming days.
Today, the price of Europe-quality cumin reached Rs 6100 per 20 kg, up from Rs 5900 on Friday.
According to traders, approximately 15,000 sacks arrived in the Unjha market today. Prices for rough cumin were recorded at Rs 4750-5000 per 20 kg, the best quality at Rs 5300-5400 per 20 kg, and Bombay bold at Rs 5400-5500 per 20 kg. The total arrival in Gujarat today was 24,000 bags.
In Rajkot Mandi, 600 bags arrived with prices ranging from Rs 4400-5460 per 20 kg. Gondal Mandi saw an arrival of 492 bags, with prices between Rs 5151-5481 per 20 kg.
