Jaipur, 17 June (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard complex continued its bearish trend on Monday amid weak buying activities and arrivals. The farmers have limited their selling after recent fall in the prices of mustard seed. On the other hand, prices of mustard oil and cake are constantly falling, therefore, buyers are also reluctant, a trader said.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned dropped Rs 50 to Rs 6050-6075 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices fell Rs 10 to Rs 1154-1155 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also declined Rs 10 to 1164-1165 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices fell Rs 25 to Rs 2670-2675 per quintal in Jaipur.
Mustard seed prices declined Rs 50 to Rs 5875-5925 per 100kg in Delhi and mustard seed oil expeller was quoted Rs 10 down at Rs 1140 per 10kg. In the market of Charkhi Dadri, mustard seed prices were quoted Rs 75 down at Rs 5825-5875 per quintal. Mustard seed oil expeller traded Rs 15 down at Rs 1125 per 10kg and mustard oilcake prices fell Rs 40 to Rs 2660 per quintal.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 4 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 2.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 25,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 30,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 20,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 15,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 60,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were flat at Rs 882 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices also stayed steady at Rs 905 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices were Rs 10 higher at Rs 960 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted flat at Rs 885 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil traded Rs 5 up at Rs 980 per 10 kg.
