New Delhi, June 10 (Commoditiescontrol): Mentha oil prices dropped sharply on Monday amid negative sentiment as fresh crop arrivals have already begun. As per the traders, prices of mentha oil are likely to remain under pressure in near term amid increasing arrivals and slow demand from the local buyers.
Mentha oil prices fell Rs 20 to Rs 975-977 per kg in the market of Chandausi. Mentha oil prices were also quoted Rs 24 down at Rs 928 per kg in the market of Barabanki.
Mentha oil future contract for delivery in June was Rs 10 down at Rs 910 per kg at Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) with open interest of 484 and volume of 117.
Mentha Oil contract for MAY delivery settled at Rs 910/quintal showing an fall of Rs -18 over previous close of Rs 928/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 909.4-918.8 for the day. Open interest increased by 26 MT to 484 MT, while trading volume decreased by -169 to 117 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for JUNE delivery settled at Rs 924/quintal showing an fall of Rs -15.2 over previous close of Rs 939.2/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 922.7-930 for the day. Open interest increased by 8 MT to 52 MT, while trading volume decreased by -15 to 16 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for JUL delivery settled at Rs 940/quintal showing an was simillar of Rs 0 over previous close of Rs 940/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 940-940 for the day. Open interest was simillar by 0 MT to 0 MT, while trading volume was simillar by 0 to 0 MT.
Currently The spread between MAY and JUNE contract is -14 Rs/quintal.
Currently The spread between JUNE and JUL contract is -16 Rs/quintal.
Currently The spread between MAY and JUL contract is -30 Rs/quintal.
