New Delhi, June 14 (Commoditiescontrol) - Mentha oil prices experienced a notable decline on Friday amidst growing harvesting activities for the fresh crop. The commencement of arrivals of new produce has contributed to a prevailing negative sentiment in the market. Concurrently, local demand from the industry remains subdued.
In Chandausi, mentha oil prices dropped to Rs 965-968 per kg, reflecting a downturn. Similarly, prices in Barabanki were quoted lower at Rs 920 per kg.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the future contract for mentha oil delivery in June saw a decline of Rs 7.4, settling at Rs 908.8 per kg. The contract recorded an open interest of 410 and a volume of 109.

Mentha Oil contract for JUNE delivery settled at Rs 924.5/quintal showing an fall of Rs -6.2 over previous close of Rs 930.7/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 924-932.5 for the day. Open interest increased by 26 MT to 169 MT, while trading volume decreased by -48 to 65 MT.
