Jaipur: Mustard seed and cake prices remained stable in Jaipur on Monday morning due to subdued demand. However, mustard oil prices saw a slight increase.
Delhi and Haryana: Mustard seed, oil, and cake prices experienced an upward trend in both Haryana and the national capital markets. Traders anticipate a surge in mustard oil consumption as the monsoon season commences in the eastern and northeastern regions of India. This increased demand for oil is expected to drive up mustard seed prices.
Market Prices:
Jaipur: Mustard seed prices held steady at Rs 6050-6075 per quintal (excluding GST). Mustard oil expeller prices increased by Rs 3 to Rs 1154-1155 per 10kg, while Kachchi Ghani prices also rose by Rs 3 to Rs 1164-1165 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices remained unchanged at Rs 2665-2670 per quintal. *
Haryana: Mustard seed prices saw a Rs 25 increase to Rs 5925-5975 per quintal. Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 5 to reach Rs 1145 per 10kg.
Delhi: Mustard seed prices rose by Rs 25 to Rs 5875-5925 per quintal, and mustard oil expeller prices increased by Rs 5 to Rs 1135 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices experienced a Rs 25 decline to Rs 2625 per quintal.
Arrivals:
Total mustard seed arrivals across the country amounted to approximately 4.5 lakh bags. Rajasthan received the highest arrivals at 2.75 lakh bags, followed by Madhya Pradesh (35,000 bags), Uttar Pradesh (45,000 bags), Punjab and Haryana (20,000 bags), and Gujarat (15,000 bags).
Kandla Port:
CPO prices remained unchanged at Rs 867 per 10kg, while RBD palmolein prices increased by Rs 5 to Rs 895 per 10kg. Soyoil refine prices also rose by Rs 5 to Rs 950 per 10kg. Degum prices were stable at Rs 882 per 10kg, and sunflower refine oil prices decreased by Rs 5 to Rs 970 per 10kg.
The mustard seed market exhibited stability in Jaipur, while prices in Delhi and Haryana strengthened. The onset of the monsoon season is expected to boost mustard oil consumption, potentially leading to further price increases in the near future.
