Major Producing States Receive 31,500 Cotton Bales

New Delhi, May 16 (Commodities Control): On Thursday, the arrival of cotton in the markets of major producing states across the country totaled 31,500 bales, slightly higher than the previous trading day's figure of 31,400 bales.

Breaking down the arrivals, 1,500 bales were recorded in Punjab and Haryana, as well as Upper and Lower Rajasthan. Gujarat saw the arrival of 8,000 bales, while Maharashtra witnessed 17,000 bales. Madhya Pradesh recorded the arrival of 1,000 bales, and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana received 2,500 bales.

Conversely, Tamil Nadu and Odisha did not report any arrivals, while Karnataka mandis saw the arrival of 1,500 bales.
