Mumbai, June 14 (Commodities Control): Cardamom prices were reported to be mixed, with prices falling in one center while rising in another. The average price ranged between Rs 2,379 and Rs 2,489 per kg, up from the previous session's average of Rs 2,423-2,446. The highest per kilogram price reached Rs 2,989, up from Rs 2,946 in the previous session.
Following a sharp rise yesterday, arrivals were reported to be lower, falling below 1.0 lakh kg. Arrivals dropped from 114,680 kg in the previous session to 69,430 kg. Offtake totaled 64,800 kg, down from 111,240 kg in the previous session. The offtake rate fell to 93.3% from 97% in the previous session, indicating flat demand compared to the previous session.
Following the surge, specific grade rates were found to be stable. Prices for 7 mm grades ranged between Rs 2,240 and Rs 2,320 per kg, Rs 2,440 to Rs 2,560 for grades 7-8 mm, and Rs 2,720 to Rs 2,920 for grades 8 mm and higher.
