Mumbai, June 18 (CommoditiesControl) – Peanut prices remained stable despite a significant influx of arrivals in North Gujarat, particularly in Deesa and Palanpur mandis. The Bhim Agiaras holiday led to the closure of most Saurashtra mandis, except Rajkot, which saw an arrival of 20,000 bags with prices ranging from Rs 1100-1298 per 20 kg.
In contrast, North Gujarat mandis remained open, receiving a total of 1.34 lakh bags of peanuts, primarily in Deesa (50,152 bags) and Palanpur (38,375 bags). Prices in Himmatnagar ranged from Rs 1240-1560 for around 5,500 bags. Deesa saw prices of Rs 1270-1320 for quality number 37 and Rs 1340-1405 for quality number 24. Palanpur prices were Rs 1050-1425, and Panthawada reported Rs 1000-1370 per 20 kg.
The substantial arrivals in North Gujarat, particularly in Deesa and Palanpur, have contributed to the stable peanut prices amidst the Bhim Agiaras holiday. Market participants will closely monitor how these increased supplies influence price trends in the coming days.
