Ahmedabad, April 16 (CommoditiesControl): Coriander selling in Gujarat continues to decrease, leading to stable prices in the state's markets. Although new arrivals have reduced in Gondal Mandi, the overall coriander arrival across all mandis stood today at 15,000 bags.
Traders suggest that the peak season for coriander in Gujarat is nearing completion, signaling a gradual decrease in arrivals. Export activity for coriander remains subdued, and stockists are showing little interest in stocking at present.
Today, around 15,000 bags of coriander, each weighing 40 kg, arrived in the state. Prior to this, the average price of coriander remained stable at Rs 1360-1560 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, where 30,000 bags were pending, 13,000 bags were traded at prices ranging from Rs 1441 to Rs 1851. Meanwhile, in Rajkot mandi, 3000 bags arrived with prices ranging from Rs 1200 to Rs 1700.
Other market arrivals included 1500 sacks in Halvad, 900 sacks in Jetpur, 1400 sacks in Jamjodhpur, 1150 sacks in Junagadh, 700 sacks in Amreli, 2500 sacks in Jamnagar, 300 sacks in Dhangadhra, and 4000 sacks from other mandis.
In Madhya Pradesh's Guna Mandi, coriander prices remained stable despite a decline in arrivals. Prices for Badami were recorded at Rs 6500/6800, Scooter at Rs 7500/8000, and Eagle at Rs 7000/7200, with an arrival of 10,000 bags.
Similarly, in Kumbhraj Mandi, arrivals decreased, but prices remained unchanged from yesterday. Prices for Badami stood at 6500/6800, Eagle at 6800/7000, and Scooter at 7500/7800, with an arrival of 20,000 bags.
The decline in arrivals today contrasts with the increase observed yesterday, attributable to pending goods in the market. However, with fresh arrivals today, the overall arrivals have decreased.
