Ahmedabad, July 3 (CommoditiesControl): The cumin market in Gujarat saw a decline today, with prices falling by Rs 50 per 20 kg. This drop is attributed to a lack of sufficient demand in both export and local markets, despite reduced arrivals.

Traders report that while cumin arrivals are lower than usual, the absence of strong demand has led to the price decrease. The market is now closely monitoring the price of cumin from China, as this will likely influence local pricing trends. Additionally, traders are keeping an eye on demand patterns leading up to the festival season, which could impact future prices.

In Unjha Mandi, there was no auction of cumin today, though the market remained stable overall. In Gondal Mandi, 455 bags of cumin were traded at prices ranging from Rs 5311 to Rs 5411 per 20 kg. Meanwhile, in Rajkot market, approximately 800 bags of cumin were traded at prices between Rs 4500 and Rs 5486 per 20 kg.
