Mumbai, July 5 (CommoditiesControl): Pepper prices in major domestic markets continued to show downward trend, with prices dropping by Rs 200 per quintal. However, local traders report that farmers and stockists are reluctant to sell their produce, resulting in overall stable prices. In Cochin, garbled pepper is priced at Rs 68,500 per quintal, while ungarbled pepper costs Rs 66,500. In Karnataka, pepper prices ranged between Rs 66,500 and Rs 68,800 per quintal.

In Vietnam, after a sharp decline post-Eid, pepper prices have recovered by VND 2,000-4,000 per kilogram. Prices in major provinces now range from VND 147,000 to 150,000 per kilogram. Analysts expect prices to rise in the coming days due to scarcity.
