Ahmedabad, June 15 (Commodities Control): Today in Gujarat, coriander prices rose by Rs 10-15 per 20 kg due to increased demand at lower prices, spurred by a significant reduction in arrivals. Traders report that the coriander supply has drastically decreased, and with Gondal Mandi and Rajkot Mandi set to close for two days in the next three days, market activity today further supported the price rise.

Traders note that Gondal Mandi will be closed for three days due to the Sunday holiday and Bakrid. Rajkot Mandi will close on Sunday for the holiday and on Monday for Bhim Agiyaras. Most mandis in Saurashtra will also remain closed on Monday.

Today, around 7,200 bags of coriander arrived in Saurashtra, with the average price recorded at Rs 1350-1540 per 20 kg. In Gondal Mandi, out of the pending bags, 7,290 bags, each weighing 40 kg, were traded at Rs 1371-1826 per 20 kg. In Rajkot Mandi, with an arrival of 2,000 bags, trading occurred at Rs 1200-1511 per 20 kg.

Additionally, 500 bags were received in Jamjodhpur Mandi, 1,600 bags in Junagadh Mandi, 400 bags in Jetpur, and about 2,700 bags in other mandis.
