Indore, June 15 (CommoditiesControl): Today, on the concluding trading day of the week, cotton arrivals along with prices of Kapas and cottonseed in Madhya Pradesh mandis have exhibited stability. Notably, there has been a positive movement in cotton candy prices, with a Rs 200 improvement observed at the lower levels compared to yesterday.

The arrival of Kapas in Madhya Pradesh mandis on Saturday remained consistent at 600 to 700 bales, with each bale weighing 170 kg, matching the figures from Friday. Prices for Kapas in the state also held steady within the range of Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,200 per quintal. Similarly, there has been no change in the price of cottonseed, maintaining stability at Rs 2,850 to Rs 3,150 per quintal.

In terms of cotton candy prices, there has been an increase of Rs 200 at the lower price levels today. Specifically, the price of 29mm 75 RD cotton is now quoted at Rs 56,000 to Rs 56,500 per candy, while 28.5mm cotton rose to Rs 55,400 to Rs 55,800 per candy, marking a similar Rs 200 improvement at the lower end.

According to millers, the arrival of cotton into Madhya Pradesh is relatively high for this time of year, as traditionally, cotton arrivals tend to taper off in June. Simultaneously, farmers have commenced sowing activities, which may further reduce cotton arrivals in the upcoming days.

Weekly Report
Throughout the week ending today, approximately 4,500 bales of cotton arrived in Madhya Pradesh mandis. The arrival pattern showed a consistent flow with 800 to 900 bales in the first half of the week and 700 bales in the latter half. Importantly, the average prices of Kapas, cottonseed, and cotton candy have remained unchanged from June 8 to June 15, indicating a stable market environment.
