US Soybean net sales for July 12-18 at 88,600 MT, down 61 percent W/W

NEW DELHI, July 25: US soybean net sales were at 88,600 MT for the week ended July 18 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, down 61 percent from the previous week and 63 percent from the prior 4-week average.

US soybean net sales were at 360,100 MT for the week ended July 18.

Increases were primarily for the Netherlands (114,500 MT, including 122,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 7,500 MT), Indonesia (76,300 MT, including 62,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,900 MT), Japan (19,500 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), China (19,400 MT), and Vietnam (14,200 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (188,900 MT), Costa Rica (14,800 MT), and Mexico (300 MT).

Net sales of 829,700 MT for 2024/2025 were primarily for unknown destinations (723,100 MT), Algeria (45,000 MT), Portugal (17,500 MT), Indonesia (14,800 MT), and Costa Rica (14,800 MT).

Exports of 368,500 MT were up 84 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Netherlands (114,500 MT), Mexico (97,600 MT), Indonesia (95,000 MT), Vietnam (13,200 MT), and Malaysia (12,300 MT).

Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 3,700 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT), Taiwan (1,300 MT), Bangladesh (500 MT), and Malaysia (500 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 258,100 MT for 2023/2024 were up 23 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for the Philippines (92,700 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Colombia (54,000 MT), Morocco (27,900 MT, including 28,300 MT switched from Turkey and decreases of 3,300 MT), Mexico (18,200 MT, including decreases of 1,700 MT), and Indonesia (13,600 MT), were offset by reductions for Turkey (30,000 MT), Japan (600 MT), Jamaica (300 MT), and Kuwait (100 MT).

Net sales of 520,900 MT for 2024/2025 were primarily for unknown destinations (341,800 MT), Ecuador (90,000 MT), Guatemala (24,800 MT), Vietnam (19,500 MT), and Nicaragua (14,800 MT).


Exports of 185,800 MT were up 12 percent from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to Morocco (45,100 MT), Guatemala (28,100 MT), the Dominican Republic (27,800 MT), Mexico (21,600 MT), and Canada (16,200 MT). Soybean Oil

Net sales of 6,900 MT for 2023/2024 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 46 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Venezuela (6,000 MT) and Canada (600 MT), were offset by reductions for the Dominican Republic (300 MT).

Net sales reductions of 3,100 MT for 2024/2025 resulting in increases for Canada (600 MT) and the Dominican Republic (300 MT), were more than offset by reductions for Mexico (4,000 MT).

Exports of 11,200 MT were up 71 percent from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were to Venezuela (5,000 MT), Mexico (2,700 MT), Colombia (1,900 MT), and Canada (1,600 MT).

Export Adjustments: Accumulated exports of soybean cake and meal to Jamaica were adjusted down 9,744 MT for the week ending October 26th. This shipment was reported in error.
