New Delhi, June 17 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices remained stable in Maharashtra on Monday for the third consecutive day, attributed to limited demand from spinning mills. Meanwhile, daily arrivals of Kapas in the state's mandis have increased.

Traders report that a significant stock of Kapas remains in the state, indicating that daily arrivals are expected to continue until mid-July. In the domestic market, stakeholders including ginners, spinning mills, and cotton stockists are facing losses at current prices due to the recent weakening of global cotton prices, which has subsequently slowed down domestic cotton prices. Additionally, the export of yarn and cotton has not been profitable.

Along with Kapas, cottonseed prices have also stabilized in the state. Today, the arrival of Kapas in the state's producing markets was recorded at 14,000 bales, up from 12,000 bales on the previous trading day.
