Ahmedabad, 27 July (CommoditiesControl): Gujarat's coriander market has shown signs of improvement over the last two days. According to traders, the increase in prices is driven by rising local demand. Limited arrivals have also contributed to the price increase, with coriander prices rising by Rs 20 per 20 kg in the past two days.
In Rajkot, traders noted that many old stocks are entering the market, with stockists and farmers still holding significant quantities. Meanwhile, the supply of new coriander stock remains low. The market's future trend will likely depend on demand levels.
Today, around 6050 bags of coriander arrived in Gujarat, with the average price ranging from Rs 1330-1530 per 20 kg. In Gondal Mandi, 3200 out of 3500 bags were traded at Rs 1341-1651 per 20 kg. In Rajkot Mandi, 1100 bags arrived, with trading prices between Rs 1080-1480 per 20 kg.
Other notable arrivals included 650 bags in Junagadh Mandi, 100 bags in Jetpur Mandi, 200 bags in Jamjodhpur Mandi, and about 500 bags in other mandis.
