New Delhi, July 4, 2024 (Commoditiescontrol): Mentha oil prices have continued their bullish trend for the fourth consecutive day this week. Prices were quoted higher again on Thursday, driven by strong demand from local buyers and exporters. According to market sources, mentha oil has attracted significant demand from overseas markets, and domestic industrial buying has also improved.
In Chandausi, mentha oil prices were quoted Rs 15-16 higher, reaching Rs 998-1000 per kg. In Barabanki, prices were quoted Rs 15 higher, settling at Rs 960 per kg.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the mentha oil future contract for delivery in July was Rs 9.2 higher, trading at Rs 969.9 per kg, with an open interest of 597 and a volume of 377. The future contract for delivery in August saw an increase of Rs 11.5, reaching Rs 983 per kg, with an open interest of 108 and a volume of 24.

Mentha Oil contract for JUL delivery settled at Rs 983/quintal showing an rise of Rs 11.5 over previous close of Rs 971.5/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 963-986 for the day. Open interest increased by 14 MT to 108 MT, while trading volume decreased by -18 to 24 MT
Mentha Oil contract for AUG delivery settled at Rs 980.1/quintal showing an rise of Rs 7.3 over previous close of Rs 972.8/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 975-980.1 for the day. Open interest increased by 2 MT to 4 MT, while trading volume increased by 4 to 5 MT.
