Mumbai (Commoditiescontrol) – Domestic tur remained weak at selective markets on Tuesday amid slow trade activity from mills as demand and sale counters in processed Tur were reported slack from consumption centers and on cash crunch.

Buyers are still cautious and opted to wait keeping a close eye on approach of monsoon. Farmers will not take risk during this period of sowing.

Similarly, Tur lemon variety of Burma origin moved lower by Rs 100 at Rs 5,500/100Kg in Delhi. On the other hand, the commodity pared early losses during mid session trade to trade at Rs 5,350/100Kg in Mumbai as sellers refrained to sell stock at lower rates.

As per Burma based local trader, no trade in Tur was reported by Indian buyers as they were on the sidelines as they have not yet received licence of import from Indian government.

Meanwhile, around 5245.7 tonnes of imported Tur arrived in Nhava-Sheva port from various origins in May month. Malawi:2425 MT, Mozambique:1344.7 MT, Uganda:720 MT, Sudan: 421 MT and Tanzania:335 MT.
