Paddy Arrival Increases In Punjab, Arrival, Prices Up On Better Demand, Less Moisture

NEW DELHI (Commodities Control) Paddy procurement could not start in Haryana. The state government wants to purchase paddy on Minimum Support Price (MSP) directly from farmers as Arhatias were on indefinite strike but it could not manage. While, the arrival of paddy has increased in the mandis.



A trader from Karnal Mandi Mr. Sandeep Gupta said that even today the procurement of Parmal Paddy could not be started in Mandis of the state because there was no space to offload new paddy. He told that the government wants to buy directly but the government agencies were not able to coordinate the farmers.



The price of Pusa 1,509 paddy improved by Rs 25 to Rs 1,800-2,025 per quintal. Further, the demand for rice mills will increase as paddy dried now. Paddy prices will improve further.



In Kaithal Mandi, Haryana, the arrival of paddy was 20000- 22000 quintal today. The prices of Pusa 1,509 paddy rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1,800- 2,050 per quintal. He told that the weather is clear, so the arrival of new paddy will increase.



In Amritsar Mandi, Parmal and Pusa 1,509 paddy arrival has increased. The government is purchasing Parmal paddy. The price of Pusa 1,509 paddy remained at the level of Rs 1,850-2,000 per quintal here today. According to a businessman, the arrival of paddy has increased in the mandis and now the weather is clear, so the arrival of dried paddy will also increase. Although the current prices are not expected to fall now, as the demand of mills will also increase further.

The arrival of new paddy in Delhi's Narela Mandi has been increased by 20000-22000 quintal today. Pusa 1,509 paddy price has improved by Rs 40 to Rs 1,900-2040 per quintal as compared to Rs 1,900- 2,000 per quintal. The arrival of new Sharabati paddy has also started in Mandi, and its price in Mandi was Rs 1,700-1,800 per quintal.
