NEW DELHI (Commodities control) Guar gum and seed prices have witnessed heavy losses in spot market of Rajasthan, Haryana and Gujarat after future contracts fell down in up to 2.2 percent in NCDEX due to selling pressure from investors.
Guar Gum prices lost Rs. 150 to Rs. 6350 per quintal in Jodhpur. Guar gum powder also slumped Rs. 150 per quintal. While guar seed fell down up to Rs. 119 per quintal in various market. Gaur seed prices fell down by Rs. 119 to Rs. 3550-3790 per quintal in Bikaner mandi. Other mandis of Rajastan, Haryana and Gujarat also witnessed heavy price fall. Market sources said that the prices followed future’s trend but weak sentiment remained intact due to lower export and guar gum millers’ demand. In NCDEX, Guar gum contracts lost up to Rs. 142 and guar seed contracts fell down up to Rs. 68 per quintal.
