Mumbai, 26 May (Commoditiescontrol) – Canada crimson variety at Mumbai, Kolkata and Mundra port along with Australia Masoor in Mumbai-Kolkata were unchanged, on Thursday amid thin mills purchase due to limited offtake in Masoor dal, ongoing arrivals of new domestic Masoor and limited ready stock of imported Masoor.
Vessel M V AMIS WEALTH carrying about 14,000 tonnes of Australia Masoor is discharging at Kolkata.
In Delhi, Madhya Pradesh origin new Masoor extended fall by Rs 50 at Rs 6,950/100Kg. While, Canada Masoor remained unchanged at Rs 7,050.
New domestic Masoor moved higher by Rs 50-100/100Kg, as per quality at Kareli, Mandsaur and Barelly market on mills buying activities.
On other hand, commodity dropped by Rs 50-150/100Kg, as per quality at Ganj Basoda, Indore, Lalitpur and Orai market on thin mills purchase.
Canada crimson variety Masoor is being offered at $930 per ton bulk in container on CNF basis JNPT for June shipment.
Australia Nugget variety Masoor is being offered at $935 per ton bulk in container on CNF basis Kolkata for June/July shipment.
Masoor prices at Canada eased as grower selling of old crop product pushed slightly ahead of the short term needs of processors and most exporters.
Though new crop bids are unusually strong, with seeding now underway, many buyers would have a tendency to shift to an "as needed" basis in order to reduce inventory costs.
