Domestic Tur price fall at select markets; mills opt caution

Mumbai, 10 Aug (Commoditiescontrol): Domestic Tur extended fall by Rs 50-150/100Kg at select markets amid mills were cautious to purchase at prevailing rates as demand & sales in Tur dal witnessed thin.

Tamil Nadu Tur dal purchase tender bid price set low at Rs 108 & high at Rs 134.

Burma origin Lemon variety Tur eased by Rs 25 at Rs 7,525-7,550/100Kg at Mumbai.

Imported variety Tur of other origins, Tanzania origin Arusha variety priced flat at Rs 6,100-6,150/100Kg. Sudan origin Tur quoted at Rs 8,050. Mozambique origin Gajri variety Tur also stayed steady at Rs 5,950-6,000/100Kg. Malawi Tur also ruled flat at Rs 5,350-5,450.

At Naya bazar market of Delhi, Burma origin Tur both old-new widened losses by Rs 50 each at Rs 7,600-7,625/100Kg, respectively as buyers inactive.

At Chennai, Burma Tur offered down by Rs 50 at Rs 7,500/100kg. At Burma, Tur Lemon variety ruled flat at $950 per metric ton on CNF basis for Mumbai. As per Burma based local trader, availability of Tur stock was reported around 1.5 lakh tonne.
