Mumbai, 29 March (Commoditiescontrol): Prices of Gattha and Finger varieties have increased by Rs200 per kg in Erode due to increased arrival. An inflow of 75,000 bags was reported.
Prices at Duggirala market were stable amid arrival of 300 bags. On April 6th, the market will reopen.
Warangal and Kesmudram markets are also stable. Today, 100 bags arrived at Warangal market and 150 bags arrived at Kesmudram market.
From March 30th to April 3rd, the market will be closed.
Turmeric contract for April delivery settled at Rs 6850/quintal showing an fall of Rs -48 over previous close of Rs 6898/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 6804-6918 for the day. Open interest decreased by 965 MT to 9550 MT, while trading volume increased by 600 to 1825 MT.
Turmeric contract for May delivery settled at Rs 6972/quintal showing an fall of Rs -8 over previous close of Rs 6980/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 6900-6996 for the day. Open interest increased by 770 MT to 6020 MT, while trading volume increased by 490 to 1550 MT.
Currently The spread between April and May contract is 122 Rs/quintal.
