New Delhi, March 01 (Commoditiescontrol): Domestic Tur prices experienced a marginal uptick in the major mandis of Maharashtra and Karnataka, driven by increased demand from millers. While miller demand is currently driven by immediate requirements, the looming festive season, particularly Shivratri and Holi, is anticipated to contribute to price stability in the short term.

In Maharashtra and Karnataka, Tur prices registered a slight increase due to the persistent demand from millers. The current market dynamics, characterized by tighter supply conditions, near-zero beginning stocks, and robust demand, are expected to support Tur prices in the near term. The upcoming festive and marriage season is likely to add to the demand, reinforcing the price stability.

Weather concerns in Masur-growing regions are also anticipated to have a supportive impact on Tur prices. The convergence of these factors is expected to maintain a favorable environment for Tur prices, preventing significant declines in the near term.

Market analysts foresee a stabilization of Tur prices, driven by the combination of factors that include high demand, festive season requirements, and potential weather-related supply concerns.
