New Delhi, March 5 (Commoditiescontrol): Kabuli Chana prices in major markets have experienced a decline attributed to weak demand and a bumper crop, exerting downward pressure on the market. Buyers are currently adopting a hand-to-mouth approach due to the ongoing harvest season and the preference for new crop arrivals. Additionally, the recent weather anomaly in Madhya Pradesh has caused less damage than expected, contributing to the decline in prices.
Despite stable prices in the Mandi, container prices have seen a decrease. The combination of the current harvest season and an expansion in acreage is anticipated to further impact prices negatively. However, the market may find some support from strong festive demand, preventing a sharp and significant decline in Kabuli Chana prices.
