Ahmedabad, April 16 (Commoditiescontrol): Groundnut prices remained stable in Gujarat markets as a decline in arrivals at Gondal mandi was balanced by a good inflow at Rajkot. Millers show limited buying interest, which may signal future price drops if selling pressure increases.
Summer groundnut supplies have begun in Maharashtra, and the Surat-Vyara region of Gujarat anticipates arrivals within the next two weeks. New crop groundnuts from Saurashtra-North Gujarat are expected around May 15.
Today, approximately 11768 bags (35kg each) arrived in Gondal mandi. Average quality prices ranged from 1166-1306 rupees per 20kg, while top quality fetched 1216-1356 rupees.
