Mumbai, April 16 (CommoditiesControl): Prices of small cardamom in major markets saw an increase attributed to robust demand from stockists. Over the past 5-6 sessions, prices have been fluctuating within a wider range due to heightened demand. Strong demand from North India has particularly contributed to price stability.
The average price per kilogram ranged between Rs 1,652 and 1,732, up from the previous session's average of Rs 1,640 to 1,655 per kg. The highest reported price reached Rs 2,702 per kg, marking an increase from Rs 2,322 per kg in the previous session.
Arrivals totaled 108,031 kg, showing a slight decrease from the previous session's 114,904 kg. Offtake stood at 106,462 kg, down from 113,7314 kg in the previous session, with an offtake rate of 98.7 percent.
Reports indicate consistent grade-specific rates, with prices for 7 mm grades ranging between Rs 1,560 and Rs 1,650 per kg, Rs 1,700 to Rs 1,740 per kg for grades 7-8 mm, and Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,140 per kg for grades 8 mm and higher.
