Cotton Arrivals Dip Sharply Across Major Producing States

New Delhi, April 17 (Commodities Control): On Wednesday, a total of 17,900 bales of cotton arrived in the markets of the country's major producing states, marking a significant decrease from the 47,900 bales recorded on the previous trading day.

Among the total arrivals, Punjab, Haryana, Upper Rajasthan, and Lower Rajasthan collectively witnessed an arrival of 3,200 bales. Gujarat reported no arrivals, while Maharashtra saw 12,000 bales entering its mandis. There were no arrivals recorded in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana.

Additionally, Tamil Nadu reported an arrival of 100 bales, while Karnataka's mandis saw 2,500 bales and Odisha reported arrivals of 100 bales.
