Ahmedabad, 20 April (CommoditiesControl): Today, Gondal Mandi, the primary center for coriander arrivals in Saurashtra region of Gujarat, witnessed the arrival of 40,000 bags, leading to a decline in prices by Rs 10 per 20 kg due to subdued demand. Traders attribute the price decrease to the slow decline in coriander arrivals coupled with subdued demand and sluggish export activities.
Across the state, a total of around 51,000 coriander bags, each weighing 40 kg, arrived today, while 11,000 bags arrived in other than Gondal Mandi. Despite this, the average price of coriander remained stable at Rs 1360-1560 per 20 kg.
Of the 40,000 bags arrived in Gondal Mandi, only 5545 bags were traded, and prices quoted between Rs.1471-1851. Additionally, 3000 bags arrived in Rajkot Mandi, priced at Rs.1261-1751.
Today's arrivals were as follows: 1000 bags in Halvad, 300 bags in Jetpur, 2500 bags in Jamjodhpur, 2000 bags in Junagadh, 400 bags in Amreli, 1500 bags in Jamnagar, and 2500-3000 bags in other mandis.
