Ahmedabad, April 20 (CommoditiesControl): Castor seed prices in Gujarat have seen a slight increase in recent days due to a decrease in arrivals from producing regions. Today's arrival figures were down by 22,000 bags compared to Friday, marking a continuing trend over the past few days. This decline in supply has prompted millers to increase their buying activity in the spot market, leading to a price rise of ₹10 per 20 kg. In total, the price of castor seed in the state has risen by ₹20-30 per 20 kg over the last two days.
Traders reported a total arrival of approximately 111,000 sacks today, with contributions from Gujarat (90,000 sacks), Rajasthan (13,000 sacks), and direct Milo trade (8,000 sacks). Despite the price increase in the spot market, castor futures markets remained closed today, resulting in no significant change for Milowale, Jagana Sheparso, N.K., and Kandla varieties. The price of Reddy-Reddy on Kandla Delivery Sharat in castor oil also remained unchanged at ₹1178-1180 per 10 kg.
