New Delhi, April 27 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices remained steady for the fourth consecutive day in Lower Rajasthan on Saturday, attributed to subdued demand, while daily arrivals of Kapas hold steady in the state's mandis.

Traders observed that cotton prices in the global market have displayed a mixed trend over the past two days, prompting spinning mills in the state to procure cotton in limited quantities. Consequently, cotton prices have maintained stability in the spot market. However, most spinning mills in the state hold minimal outstanding stock of cotton, while local demand for cotton yarn is anticipated to rise. Consequently, the likelihood of a significant decline in cotton prices in the spot market is low. Alongside Kapas, cottonseed prices have also stabilized in the state.

The arrival of Kapas in Lower Rajasthan's mandis today amounted to 300 bales (one bale equals 170 kg), matching the previous trading day's arrivals.
