Ahmedabad, April 27 (CommoditiesControl): The coriander season in Gujarat is nearing its end, with arrivals steadily declining. Prices remained stable today due to subdued demand, with no movement observed for the last two days.
Traders suggest that an increase in export trade could provide support to the market. However, the market trend will largely depend on the arrival of coriander in the upcoming days.
Today, around 16,000 bags of coriander arrived in the state, with each bag weighing 40 kg. The average price of coriander remained unchanged at Rs 1390-1590 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, 7,000 bags arrived, with around 10,000 bags pending. Of the traded bags, 10,020 were traded at prices ranging from Rs 1526-1826. In Rajkot Mandi, 1,300 bags arrived, quoted at Rs 1250-1751 per 20 kg.
Additional arrivals were reported in other mandis across the state, including Halvad (1,000 bags), Jetpur (400 bags), Jamjodhpur (1,000 bags), Junagadh (1,100 bags), Amreli (500 bags), Jamnagar (1,000 bags), and 2,200-2,500 bags in other mandis.
