Guar Seed and Gum Spot Prices Maintain Stability in Spot Market; Futures Close Higher

Jodhpur, May 7 (Commoditiescontrol): Guar seed and gum prices exhibited stability in the spot market, while futures concluded on a slightly higher note on Tuesday, influenced by improved demand and supply. Traders reported robust demand from both processors and exporters, contributing to the overall positive sentiment in the guar market.

According to market sources, the average price range for guar seed in auctions was quoted at Rs 5,000-5,250 per quintal. Additionally, guar seed prices in all paid transactions remained steady at Rs 5,440 per quintal. Meanwhile, guar gum prices stood firm at Rs 10,900 per quintal in the benchmark market of Jodhpur, with arrivals totaling 7,100 bags.

On the NCDEX, guar gum futures for delivery in May edged Rs 17 or 0.16% higher to settle at Rs 10,740 per quintal. The session witnessed a trading range between Rs 10,687 and Rs 10,810. Similarly, guar seed futures for delivery in May recorded a gain of Rs 21 or 0.39%, settling at Rs 5,431 per quintal. The trading range for guar seed futures oscillated between Rs 5,394 and Rs 5,460.

GuarSeed contract for MAY delivery settled at Rs 5431/quintal showing an rise of Rs 21 over previous close of Rs 5410/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 5394-5460 for the day. Open interest decreased by -5165 MT to 26940 MT, while trading volume decreased by -1160 to 11980 MT.

GuarSeed contract for JUN delivery settled at Rs 5500/quintal showing an rise of Rs 20 over previous close of Rs 5480/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 5463-5522 for the day. Open interest increased by 3900 MT to 41225 MT, while trading volume increased by 3140 to 17760 MT

Currently The spread between MAY and JUN contract is -69 Rs/quintal

GUARSEED stock in NCDEX accredited warehouse as on 07-May-2024, was 28114 MT

GuarGum contract for MAY delivery settled at Rs 10740/quintal showing an rise of Rs 17 over previous close of Rs 10723/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 10687-10810 for the day. Open interest decreased by -2605 MT to 18555 MT, while trading volume increased by 645 to 4705 MT.

GuarGum contract for JUN delivery settled at Rs 10879/quintal showing an rise of Rs 17 over previous close of Rs 10862/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 10815-10947 for the day. Open interest increased by 2485 MT to 32290 MT, while trading volume increased by 1575 to 7635 MT.

Currently The spread between MAY and JUN contract is -139 Rs/quintal.
