Mumbai, May 21 (Commodities Control): Clove prices have remained stable in key markets. In the Kottayam market, prices for imported cloves range from Rs 850 to Rs 870 per kilogram for Comoros origin, Rs 860 to Rs 880 for Madagascar, and Rs 860 to Rs 880 for Sri Lankan origin.

Domestic clove prices in Kottayam are also stable, ranging between Rs 920 and Rs 940 per kilogram. This stability is supported by strong demand, even as other spices like cardamom and pepper are expected to see significant price increases.

Despite this, a dramatic increase in clove imports is unlikely. In Shimoga, the price per kilogram of clove continues to range between Rs 940 and Rs 960, unchanged from the previous session. Additionally, clove stems in Kottayam are priced at Rs 125 per kilogram, maintaining the same level as the previous session.
