Jaipur, 18 March (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex turned bearish amid high supplies. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake dropped on Monday for a second straight session as supply of oilseed increased.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned fell Rs 100 to Rs 5,475-5500 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices dropped Rs 17 to Rs 1034-1035 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also declined Rs 17 to 1044-1045 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 25 to Rs 2495-2500 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 15.50 lakh bags across the country, up one lakh bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 8 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 2 lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 2 lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 90,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 65,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 1.95 lakh bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 9 down at Rs 936 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 980 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 1040 per 10 kg. Degum prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 975 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted Rs 5 higher at Rs 1015 per 10 kg.
