Limited Demand, Stable Oil Prices Keep Groundnut Market Flat
The groundnut market showed stability today after trade resumed after a week-long closure. Upon reopening, the Rajkot and Gondal mandis saw good arrivals.
Traders attribute stable prices to a steady trend in edible oil prices and limited demand. They expect prices to increase only with a revival of export trade or a rise in local demand.
With rising temperatures, traders anticipate increased supply from farmers. Additionally, summer groundnut sowing in the state has reached 51,891 hectares as of April 1st, marking a 9% increase from the same period last year.
